At times I look back on my life,
And wonder why God would let me hurt,

But closer to Him I see it's worth.

I always adored and showed compassion,
Wiped her tears and held her tight,

Tossed away love she'd never known,
Pushed away her lover one strong man,
Because far apart they'd quickly grown,
She did not like God's perfect plan.

Now at night she lays her head,
