It's been so long since we loved,
But yet you're always on my mind,
I know since you I have not lived,
Because love like our's I cannot find.

I have tried and tried to love again,
Looking and searching to fill this void,
Not another woman my heart could win,
Living in false love can only annoy.

You always made my heart beat true,
Your touch always took my breath away,
At times I wonder what could I do,

I loved you always without a doubt,

A love that's cherished and not cast out,
Not loving you still tears me apart.

I live each day with a passing thought,
Maybe one day we can love again,

At times I feel your thoughts are mine,
I feel our souls touch I get a chill,

Searching For Love

Lost in this world without a care,
Your heart just wants to freely live,
But it is living only in fear,
That love it will never ever give.

You’ve searched this world up and down,
To find a soul with the simple need,
To turn their perception of love around,
And show them hearts don’t only bleed.

Love can cause the ugliest scars,
But one is always sure to heal,
Because love frees you from the bars,
And lets your heart someone steal.

The pain felt when love fails you,
Is brought because your heart can live,
So let this thought help carry you through,
Your heart did love and it did give.

Your heart had a beat and it did live,
It gave life and love to one lucky soul,
But they did not want to give,
Love in return to make you whole.

So know your heart is living free,
Even though it may seem dead,
