When I look back on what we had,
Every time I hold someone new,
Happy moments just turn sad,
Because I'm not holding you.
The love I held in my heart,
Is still holding on too strong,
I want to give my every part,
Or else our love will be all wrong.
When I see her smile it's not you,
When she laughs you're all I hear,
When she asks if I've been true,
I turn my head and shed a tear.
It doesn't take physical action,
To test the trust of who you love,
Sometimes just a mental distraction,
May not be worse but it's enough.
It's been so long since we loved,
But still you're in my every prayer,
And though I act like I am tough,
I always wish that you were here.
Cause it's not fair to her at all,
Set me free and let me live,
Set me free to jump and fall,
Take your love that holds me captive.
