Sometimes you have to take a chance,
Just close your eyes and take that leap,
To see if there will be some romance,
That you will both forever keep.
People won’t approve of the fact,
That one may be rich the other poor,
But when you finally make life’s pact,
They will know who you’re made for.
Little things will not matter in life,
But rather the heart that’s deep inside,
Because when a man looks for a wife,
He needs someone that he can confide.
Someone to tell all his lost little secrets,
Or even the obvious facts of himself,
Even the mistakes and all the regrets,
And even a little more about yourself.
This describes one’s very best friend,
And yes that’s what I meant to be said,
So don’t go for one with money to lend,
But go for one with a heart instead.
Because when rough times come along,
You cannot always buy your way out,
Sometimes you just have to sing a song,
To know what happiness is all about.
